BEST Partners with Logan City Council

BEST Disability Support (BEST) has partnered with Logan City Council on an interview series by the BEST Weekly News (BWN) team showcasing the role that Council plays in providing accessible ammenities to the district.

BEST Director Chris Stan says it is important for young adults living with disabilities to  have a connection to local governments. 

“We have seen from our members a lack of understanding that they can approach our local MPs with any of their concerns regarding accessibility in the areas they live in, so this partnership has been integral to creating that link between the community and the government departments that are there to help them”, Mr Stan said.

BWN is a regular program delivered at both of BEST’s campuses in Slacks Creek and Greenbank that sees members create their own news show from beginning to end.

The Logan City Council accessibility interview series will be published to the BWN YouTube channel in 2025.
